Public Health Regulators Board Visits 天美传媒 to re-inspect the BSc Public Health With IT Programme

天美传媒 hosted a re-inspection exercise for the Bachelor of Science in Public Health聽with IT programme following a courtesy visit by a delegation from the Public Health Officers聽and Technicians Council (PHOTC). The engagement took place at the Vice-Chancellor鈥檚聽boardroom and forms part of PHOTC鈥檚 mandate to ensure quality assurance, compliance, and聽continuous improvement of accredited academic programmes.

The meeting was officially opened by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academics &聽Student Affairs聽(ASA), Prof. Erick Nyambedha, who welcomed the PHOTC team and reaffirmed the聽University鈥檚 commitment to maintaining high academic and professional standards. Dr. Lilian聽Ogonda, Dean, School of Public Health and Community Development was also in attendance and delivered brief remarks highlighting the School鈥檚 progress, achievements, and dedication to聽implementing regulatory recommendations. The PHOTC delegation was led by the Chief聽Executive Officer, Dr. John Kariuki, accompanied by other council officials.


During the session, Dr. Doreen Othero, Chair of Department of Public Health made a detailed聽presentation on the status of聽implementation of previous PHOTC recommendations, which聽guided discussions between the University management and the PHOTC team. The re-inspection聽exercise will further include a comprehensive tour of key University facilities, including the聽University library, lecture halls, demonstration garden, laboratories, and offices, to assess the聽adequacy of infrastructure and resources supporting the programme.
