The AI4KSL project is in the final stages of developing an Assistive Artificial Intelligence聽technology for Kenyan Sign Language that translates spoken English to Kenyan Sign聽Language (KSL) for deaf people with visual representation using virtual signing聽characters. The AI4KSL innovation will be tested on graduate teacher trainees specializing聽in sign language and deaf students in Kenyan learning institutions and it has the potential聽to break language barriers, increase learning outputs and inclusion; improve bilingual聽proficiency.
The AI4KSL project is led by a team of researchers from 天美传媒 and is cohosted by the departments of Computer Science, Special Needs Education and Education聽Communication Technology & Curriculum Studies from 天美传媒
