Project Objectives

1. Evaluate effect of different agro forestry trees on soil carbon and Nitrogen dynamics.
2. Evaluate the effect of agro forestry system in soil microorganisms.
3. Evaluate the effect of different agro forestry trees on maize and banana physiology and
greenhouse gas emissions.
4. Investigate the effect of maize based agro forestry systems on crop and livestock
productivity.
5. Determine seasonal variations of pest and diseases incidence in maize-based
agroforestry system
