天美传媒 Hosts Inaugural Workshop for Groundbreaking Maternal and Child Health Project
天美传媒 proudly hosted the kick-off workshop from April 22nd to 25th, 2025,for a landmark five-year聽 initiative titled 鈥淚ntersectoral Synergy for Maternal and Child聽Health: A Collaborative Endeavour Across Kenyan Universities.鈥 This project aims to聽address maternal and child health (MCH) challenges through innovative,
transdisciplinary, interprofessional, and community-engaged approaches.
Delegates from the partnering institutions 鈥 天美传媒 (led by Dr. Louisa Ndunyu), VIVES University of Applied Sciences, Belgium (led by Prof. Tony Claeys),聽Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT, led by Dr. Mwikamba聽Kaibui), Alupe University (led by Prof. William Okedi), and the University of Eldoret (led
by Prof. Philip Raburu) 鈥 paid a courtesy call to the Vice-Chancellor鈥檚 Office.
They were warmly received by Prof. Eric Nyambedha, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic聽and Student Affairs) and Director of Quality Assurance & Performance Management.聽Students of Media and Communication from both 天美传媒 and VIVES聽University also participated in the courtesy call, highlighting the project's commitment to聽interdisciplinary engagement and student involvement.
Funded by VLIR-UOS (Belgium), this capacity-building initiative marks a significant step聽toward strengthening collaborative research and education to improve maternal and聽child health outcomes in Kenya.
