������ý hosted their third Virtual Graduation Ceremony on the 16th December 2020. The event aired from 10AM. All the students were sent a link, along with an invitation to watch and celebrate their achievements with their family and friends.
The ceremony was premiered live on NTV along with ������ý youtube and all other University social media pages - including Instagram and Facebook and the University Website.

On his speech, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Julius Nyabundi noted, “Well, the virtual celebrations have not replaced the physical graduation ceremonies, we do not want the students’ hard work to go uncelebrated and we are using this day to welcome all the graduands into our alumni community of over 100,000 graduates who live and work across the globe.”
He added, “Although we know our students have been disappointed not to be have been able to attend their graduation ceremonies physically as anticipated, we hope that the virtual celebration will go some way to show you how proud we are of your achievements.”
“My advice is this: enjoy it,” he said.
“Go out, have adventures, go and make mistakes. Have fun around the world and make the most of the next few years because the chaos Covid has created is an opportunity for you all to think differently about the future.”

At the celebrations, students had the chance to enjoy messages from lecturers, staff, students and alumni from across the University.
While giving her remarks, PS State Department for Higher Education and Research DR. Beatrice Muganda Inyangala also had a chance to encourage the graduating class of 2022. She told graduating students: “We’re still dealing with the global pandemic, we’re still dealing with inequality, so you’re graduating into a world in desperate need of your talents, positivity, ideas and skills.”
“The rigorous training you have received at ������ý will really stand you in good stead as we rely on you to help us solve some of these really pressing world problems.”
