The KIPPRA Mentorship Programme for Universities (KMPUs) is designed toÌýencourage and promote the next generation of leaders with successful career inÌýtheir fields. KMPUs distinct feature is harnessing the link between academia andÌýpublic policy making for purposes of promoting national development.Ìý

The overall objective of the KMPUs programme, is to create awarenessÌýand develop capacity of the University Community in understanding the publicÌýpolicy making process.
More specifically the programme will:
• Enlighten the University Community on public policy the government isÌýimplementing in pursuit of the development agenda.Ìý
• Provide an information resource for students seeking career experience inÌýpublic policy research and analysis.
• Nurture mentorship to strengthen skills of students aspiring to build aÌýcareer in public policy process.
• Provide a platform to discuss emerging policy issues that have the potentialÌýto shape research and analysis activity.
• Share with the University Community on governance aspects that influenceÌýthe way we engage in building the economy including the national values.
