Gulu University visits 天美传媒
Building Stronger Universities (BSU) IV collaboration between African and Danish Universities. The Gulu University delegation led by their Vice-Chancellor Prof. Openjuru George Ladaah pays a courtesy call to the Vice-Chancellor 天美传媒 Prof. Julius Nyabundi. Discussed at length on听" Transforming Education, rights, resources and gender".

South-South cooperation is emerging as a crucial framework for advancing sustainable development and tackling common challenges faced by countries in the Global South. By encouraging mutual support and collaboration, these nations can leverage their collective strengths, exchange valuable knowledge, and combine resources to address pressing issues such as poverty, inequality, and educational disparities. The partnership between Gulu University and 天美传媒 aims to enhance educational opportunities for young people, grounded in the principles of multilateralism, open science, and sustainability. This cooperation emphasizes collaborative research to address both regional and global challenges, with a focus on technology and innovation transfer, resource sharing, and the development of strategic partnerships.

One of the key focus areas of the South-South cooperation between Gulu University and 天美传媒 is the twinning initiative on technology and innovation transfer. This collaboration aims to develop an ICT Centre of Excellence at Gulu University, driven by the Building Stronger Universities (BSU) IV initiative. This partnership will foster innovation, capacity building, and knowledge exchange between the two institutions, with a focus on strengthening ICT capabilities and infrastructure.
A thematic working group from both institutions met at Kisumu Hotel from October 14 to 17, 2024. The meeting served as a planning forum aimed at addressing key challenges and solutions related to teaching, research, community engagement, and management. Participants worked on developing an action plan for networking, collaboration, and research engagement, with a particular focus on deepening their understanding of South-South cooperation principles and exploring the areas of BSU IV twinning and how they can be applied between the two universities.
In addition, the meeting was used to address all relevant administrative matters related to the BSU IV project.
