天美传媒 (MSU) is a subrecipient of Feed the Future Innovation Lab for Current and Emerging聽Threats to Crops (CETC-IL) project titled: 鈥Addressing Current and Emerging Threats to Crops in the聽Democratic Republic of Congo and Kenya: A Collaborative and Interdisciplinary Approach鈥 in collaboration聽with University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) based on the memorandum of understanding (MOU)聽between the two institutions. MSU is handling the maize subcomponent of the Kenyan project: Maize and聽Mango Postharvest Loss Reduction Strategies to Increase Food Security and Employment of Women and聽Youth in Kisumu, Siaya, and Kitui Counties of Kenya.
The聽workshop aims at presenting feedback to the community based on its outcomes; training farmers on maize聽postharvest technologies and marketing strategies and conducting participatory project(s) monitoring,聽learning and evaluation as well as proposing the next steps.
The participants are from the project teams, students, Ministry聽of Agriculture officials, farmers, women and youth from Kisumu and Siaya Counties of western Kenya.
